Some of my zine ideas when brainstorming are:
skiing adventure (vintage)
funny faces on famous portrait pictures
vintage car driving on a trip (pulling out of cool vintage mansion house, through vineyard, past tennis court, etc)
abstract versions of scenes from movies (great gatsby)
story of bubble gum (in wrapper, opened up, chewed, blow bubble, stuck on school desk, in trash can, etc)
bike riding past stuff on ur way to work and picking things up along the way (coffee, breakfast, people, books, etc)
things that are really colorful and making them black and white to see if people associate colors with them
breaking news: animal faces on people’s bodies eating dinner, having wine night, at a picnic, listening to record player, reading a newspaper on a porch, game night/poker night, drinking coffee at cafe, tanning at the beach, etc (giraffe, crocodile, zebra, elephant, cheetah, etc) - pastel colors
The last bullet point is probably my favorite idea. I like how it is funky and fun, while also being colorful and telling a story. I’m going to explore this idea with my zine, using a watercolor/abstract effect to it. My second favorite idea is either a vintage car driving on a trip or a bubble gum adventure. My favorite style of art is vintage aesthetics. I love the old-timey and idealized picture they portray. This is why I'd love to also portray this idea. I’m going to experiment with both ideas and decide which one I'm more creatively leaning toward. This picture is an inspo picture I found that I like the style of.
