In Project 3: Daydream Video Project, I did a story about a camping daydream. When the friend group is having a fun game night and brainstorming ideas, one of the friends daydreams about a camping trip they could possibly go on. I love camping and thought doing an animation with my friends and a cute bear would be a fun story to create. I struggled a lot at first during this project because I found animation to be very time consuming and confusing. Once I started getting deeper into the project it was easier to understand and get the hang of. I also had some difficulty choosing sounds to use. I didn’t want to use a voiceover, so it made it challenging for me to communicate what was happening without using words. I ended up being very proud of my finished project, especially with how many hours I put into it. My biggest regret for this project was the time management. I did not realize how long it would take to only do 20 seconds of animation. My favorite part of animation was animating the bear. I loved how he is such a scary creature and was misunderstood when he only wanted to make friends. I like how in the end all of the characters and the bear ended up being friends and going on a bunch of adventures together. My favorite scene to animate was the campfire scene. Overall, I have much more appreciation for animation artists and how much work they must put in to make movies and shows.
